SCCC Spryfield Christian Community Church

 

After a series of difficult transitions, the church in Spryfield was steadily declining and losing visibility. Yet the small congregation held on to the belief that God was still calling them to ministry within their community.

 

Rev. Pauline Coffin was called to SCCC as senior pastor in the fall of 2016. The task was to help the church heal and to create a vision for replanting.

 

Through networking we have developed a circle of support of 100 people throughout NS, NB, NL and as far away as Australia. Our cheerleaders are from several denominations; people in the church and people outside the church - who are actively praying for us and actively encouraging us. We are thankful for our AUBA friends and colleagues for their prayers and for their many acts of kindness.

 

With the help of our cheerleaders, we are moving away from being a declining church in survival mode to a vibrant, thriving, diverse group of people actively engaged in mission.

 

It takes a community to reach a community!
